Kenneth E. Clark

Business Consultant

MBDA Business Center – Capital Region

Kenneth Clark is a Business Consultant for the MBDA Business Center. He has an extensive background in supplier diversity. He was previously president of the MD/DC Minority Supplier Development Council, the precursor to the Capital Region MSDC which is the current operator of the Business Center. At MD/DC MSDC, he facilitated the Council’s mission to link minority businesses to the procurement contract opportunities in corporate America and other major buying organizations. He also made advocacy on behalf of minority businesses a major part of his role and became a spokesperson for increased opportunity for minority businesses in the public and private sector. He led the coordination of three NMSDC Legislative Conference and Day on the Hill events. He ended a 35 year career at Verizon as Vice President – Public Affairs in Verizon-Washington, DC after various assignments in engineering, operations and local and international project management. In the latter role, he led a multi-million dollar project team for 3 years in Madrid, Spain for Bell Atlantic International. He also represented Verizon on the Washington, DC Building Industry Association where leading contractors and developers met to plan and discuss commercial development activity in the DC community.
